About the Opportunity:
VALERE is seeking a Telecom/Network Engineer for our client. This role will support the design, configuration, and management of enterprise-level network infrastructure and includes partial remote flexibility after an initial onsite period.

What You'll Do:
-
Work across multiple network infrastructure disciplines including routing, switching, and wireless
-
Utilize, operate, and maintain network security infrastructure (NAC, TrustSec, ISE, VPN, DNS security, etc.)

Assist and potentially lead network troubleshooting, incident remediation, and investigations in coordination with Help Desk, ITOC, and SOC
-
Support software-defined networking technologies including firewalls, WAN/LAN, SASE, and Cloud networking

Apply scripting and automation tools such as Splunk, Ansible, Python, and .NET

Participate in technical decisions regarding network architecture and product selection

Deploy telecom/network technology and exercise independent technical judgment

Contribute to section strategy and budget planning

Plan and lead small projects; coordinate across internal and external teams

Occasionally manage stressful implementations or incident response impacting operations or patient care

Represent the telecom/network group in cross-functional committees when needed

What You Bring:

Expert knowledge of telecom/network concepts and the 7-layer OSI model
-
Proficiency with telecom/network management and monitoring tools
-
Familiarity with desktop and server operating systems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

Solid organizational, time management, and analytical abilities

Cisco experience preferred

CCNA certification preferred
-
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of professional technical work experience

OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional technical work experience

OR a minimum of 6 years of professional technical work experience without a degree

Pay Rate: This is a contract role with an hourly rate of $67. Your specific rate will depend on your qualifications, education, certifications, location, and how well your experience aligns with the client's requirements.
