An Overview of VALERE Benefit Offerings for our W2 Employees


Please review our offerings listed below. Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life, Disability, and Identity Protection are available for you and your dependents. You are also eligible to participate in our 401(k) Program within 90 days of your employment.

Medical (HealthPartners)

  • VALERE offers qualified high-deductible health insurance plans to help employees manage their health.
  • VALERE pays 50% of the employee’s premium.
  • The employee pays 100% of the premium for spouse/dependents.
  • Deductibles: In-network: $5,100 Individual/ $10,200 Family Out-of-network: $10,000 Individual/ $20,000 Family. Note that some preventative care services are covered before your deductible is met.
  • EAP is also included in this benefit

Health Savings Account (HSA)

  • VALERE offers an HSA (managed by Futher/Select Account) to help employees pay for medical deductibles and expenses with pre-tax dollars.
  • If you enroll in the VALERE HealthPartners plan, you may enroll in the VALERE HSA Program.
  • You can participate in the VALERE HSA plan if you are enrolled in a qualified high-deductible health insurance plan through your spouse.
  • The HSA contribution limits for 2025 are $4,300 for self-only coverage and $8,550 for family coverage. Those 55 and older can contribute an additional $1,000 as a catch-up contribution.

Dental Insurance (Sun Life Insurance)

  • VALERE offers dental insurance to help employees manage their dental care expenses.
  • VALERE pays 50% of the employee’s premium
  • The employee pays 100% of the premium for spouse and dependents
  • An orthodontia benefit is included

Vision Insurance (VSP)

  • VALERE offers vision insurance to help employees manage their eye care expenses.
  • VALERE pays 50% of the employee’s premium.
  • The employee pays 100% of the premium for spouse and dependents
  • No Deductible

Life, Long- & Short-Term Disability Insurance (SunLife)

  • VALERE provides company-paid Life Insurance.
  • Employees may purchase additional Life Insurance.
  • Employees may purchase Long-Term Disability insurance for up to 60% of their monthly earnings, up to a maximum of $6,000.
  • Employees may purchase Short-Term Disability for up to 60% of their weekly earnings to a maximum of $1,000 per week.
  • Employees pay 100% of the premium for additional life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disability.
  • Premiums are deducted after tax, so any benefit received is not taxable.

401(k) Savings Plan

  • VALERE offers a 401(k) Savings Plan to help employees save for retirement.
  • All employees are eligible to participate after 90 days of employment.
  • There is no minimum-average-hours-worked requirement to participate in the 401(k) plan.
  • This is a self-managed plan, meaning you can enroll online and make changes to your plan anytime by logging into your account.
  • Ascensus administers the plan. Merrill Lynch manages funds.
  • Pre-Tax and ROTH investment options are available.
  • A Discretionary Match is considered at the end of each year and has a vesting schedule.

Identity Protection (Allstate):

  • Covers a wide range of family members, including spouses, children, financially supported dependents, deceased family members, and senior relatives (parents, in-laws, grandparents) aged 65+ across the U.S.
  • Digital privacy and security tools
    • Allstate Digital Footprint® for tracking online data exposure.
    • Identity and financial monitoring, dark web monitoring, robocall blocker, and ad blocker.
    • Social media takeover monitoring and tri-bureau credit monitoring with annual credit reports and scores.
    • Senior family protection: Specialized scam support for seniors and elder fraud prevention.
    • Digital safety for families: Tools for web filtering, screen time, and location tracking.
  • Identity theft protection: Full restoration support.
    • Up to $1 million in reimbursement for identity theft-related expenses.

For all benefit selections, coverage begins on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. 401k Eligibility begins at 90 days.
