This is a remote contract role. W2 candidates are preferred; however, we are open to working with subcontractors whose resources are fully based in the United States.

VALERE is seeking a Cognos Analytics Consultant for our client. This role will focus on upgrading and configuring Cognos Analytics environments, including migrating content, setting up integrations, and ensuring stability post-upgrade. The consultant will play a critical role in guiding the upgrade from version 11.1 to 12.0 (or later) and documenting processes for ongoing support.

What You'll Do
- Install and configure Cognos Analytics on new servers, including upgrading from version 11.1 to 12.0 (or later)
- Configure QA (single server) and Production (three servers) environments
- Migrate content including framework models, reporting packages, and users across environments
- Set up SSL, SAML, and required configurations for Cognos Framework Manager installation
- Document installation, configuration, and migration processes
- Provide post-upgrade support through the first system patching cycle to ensure continued functionality
What You Bring
- Demonstrated expertise in Cognos Analytics management
- Experience installing and configuring Cognos Analytics environments
- Hands-on experience migrating framework models, reporting packages, reports, and users
- Experience converting from Active Directory to SAML in Cognos environments
- Strong background in SSL setup and implementation for Cognos
- Experience working with Cognos Analytics on Windows Server environments
